Commencing April 2nd, 2024 Air Rarotonga announces new flights between Rarotonga and Aitutaki that on Tuesdays and Fridays will make same-day connections in both directions for the Jetstar Sydney direct flights easier, as well as minimise the need for overnight accommodation outbound to Sydney.

It is a very short distance between domestic and international departures and arrivals at Rarotonga Airport and our staff are on hand to assist with connecting passengers.

Flights and timings are as follows:

Tuesdays and Fridays

Wednesdays

Sundays

Flights from Sydney to Rarotonga cross the international date line and arrive a few hours before they depart. Flights from Rarotonga to Syndey flights cross the international date line in the opposite direction and arrive in Sydney the day after they depart Rarotonga.

Check-in Facilities at Rarotonga Airport for JQ 142 will open at 3.5 hours before and close 1 hour before the scheduled flight departure time.
