A Guide to Dangerous Goods

Aside from obvious things such as explosives, petrol and gas cylinders, there are many products in every day use that are subject to prohibition or special safety precautions when carried aboard aircraft. Even innocuous items such as detergents and batteries need to be declared as they may pose a risk if carried alongside other items and substances.

There are severe penalties for the carriage of prohibited and hazardous goods and items on board passenger and cargo aircraft.

If you are in any doubt regarding an item in your baggage, please ask our check-in agent for assistance.

Detailed information for passengers and shippers regarding the carriage of dangerous goods is contained in the downloadable documents linked below.

Please note: If you are in any doubt ask our passenger service agent when checking in or enquire from our offices in advance.
